First guests of the Casa Mono and Barcelona Art Residency — Fließgewässer and Stefan Voglsinger.
Stefan Voglsinger is a musician and performer based in Vienna. He focuses on interdisciplinary experiments working with sound and image, developing performances or audiovisual installations including selfbuilt or hacked electronic circuits. At Setzkasten he modifies analog film projectors, works in the darkroom and the sound studio. As a curator he regularly organizes concerts and transdisciplinary evenings, holds Circuit Cooking soldering workshops in schools and at festivals. He works at the Filmmuseum Vienna, is co-curator of Klangmanifeste and plays with The Vegetable Orchestra.
Fließgewässer (alias of Heinzel’s personal sonic expression) is intentionally mysterious, playful electroacoustic music, originated from random conversations about a generally uncertain future that always obliges to improvise and needs to adapt to its surroundings. Genre wise the music oscillates between Ambient, NoFolk, Noise and Punk. After being in one extreme - years of (creative) isolation and introspection, now turning towards the other extreme - becoming a small part of bigger things, one being Gamelan Barasvara and many other collaborations and collectives, playing self built instruments or not.
Special thanks for the hospitality of the retreat center Los Naranjos in Yelapa and Mestizo Bar in Puerto Vallarta.
